If you consider Christmas/Chanukah, Valentine’s Day/Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter/Passover, Memorial Day Week-end, 4th of July, Labor Day Week-end, Thanksgiving, etc. Notice they are fairly evenly spaced. So enjoy yourself on the 4th of July, but determine to get back on the wagon and trim off another 10 pounds by Labor Day week-end!

A 10 pound at a time diet, like this, can be a safe and sane way to lose weight. Meanwhile, you can be happy to have met your mini-goals, and not frustrated that your long term goal is far in the future!
